General information of Vietnam Consulate

Vietnam and Germany officially established the relationship in 1975. Since then, the two countries have continuously developed their strategic partnership with a large number of Vietnamese nationals in Germany and German-speaking citizens in Vietnam. 

Economic collaboration is considered the first priority as German became Vietnam’s most important trade partner in the EU (European Union) and German Government also maintained Vietnam in the list of priority countries for strategic cooperation and funding disbursement in Southeast Asia in 2016.

Meanwhile, the Consulate has rights to proceed consular services for Vietnamese living in these States: Hessen, Baden-Württenberg, Bayern, Rheinland-Pfalz, Nordrhein-Westfalen, and Saarland as well as visa issuance for foreigners residing in Germany.

Working time

It is essential to note that the Consulate General of Vietnam in Frankfurt only works on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The Consulate is closed on Tuesday, Friday and public holidays in Vietnam and Germany. In order to save time, it is advised that visitors check its announcements on the below website before coming in person as all latest pieces of news are published on this platform.

Working hours are from 09:00 to 12:00 in the morning and from 14:00 to 17:00 in the afternoon.
